Blog Post #6 MODULE 7: Collaboration

This week we learned about Web conferencing and Cloud computing. 

Web conferencing has become the new office and classroom alternative since Covid.  One way that web conferencing can be implemented in my desired career area is for conference calls, business meetings or remote work.  It allows you to connect to anyone around the world an see their face without leaving your house, town, or country.  

Cloud computing can be considered similar to web conferencing but instead of sending your image around the world you can send files that can be accessed, worked on and synced in real time.  This allows for people to share file and update them without having to email updated files back and forth.  It is a great collaboration tool.

One challenge that should be considered with implementing web conferencing and cloud computing is internet availability and security.  When you are transmitting important documents, you want to ensure security measures are implemented.  Also, a challenge with web conferencing is time differences and lagging internet.  If there is connecting issues, it can be distracting from the actual conversation.
